dubbl helps you track sales tax obligations for US state and local jurisdictions. Navigate to Tax > Sales Tax to view your sales tax summary.

Setup
- Create tax rates for each jurisdiction where you have nexus (tax obligation)
- Set the rate percentage and assign a name (e.g., "California Sales Tax - 7.25%")
- Apply the appropriate tax rate when creating invoices
Nexus
You may have sales tax obligations in a state if you have:
- Physical presence (office, warehouse, employees)
- Economic nexus (exceeding revenue or transaction thresholds)
Each state sets its own thresholds. Check your state's Department of Revenue for current rules.
Sales Tax Summary
The sales tax page shows:
- Tax collected by jurisdiction
- Tax period totals
- Outstanding amounts to remit
Filing
dubbl provides the data needed for your sales tax returns. File through each state's tax authority portal.
